Description
Kenjirō Takōda is a supporting character who serves as the manager of Octopus, a delivery service where the protagonist, Akira Sato, finds employment while living under his assumed identity in Osaka. Physically, he is recognized for his short black hair styled in a bowl cut, small eyes, and for typically wearing a jacket and sneakers. He plays a significant role in the everyday life of the main character, as it is Takōda who initially gives Akira a temporary job as a delivery driver before eventually hiring him on as a full-time employee. This employment provides Akira with a crucial cover for his ordinary life and a daily routine away from his past as a legendary hitman. In his professional role, Takōda is the direct supervisor of Misaki Shimizu, a young woman who works multiple jobs and becomes a central figure in the story. One of his notable personality traits is his observant and caring nature, particularly regarding his employee Misaki. As he notices Misaki’s romantic feelings for Akira developing, Takōda actively encourages the relationship and attempts to bring the two of them together. He is a down-to-earth and ordinary individual who represents the normal, civilian world that the protagonist is trying to learn to inhabit. No significant character development or specialized abilities are documented for him; his role remains consistently that of a supportive and grounding figure in the lives of the primary characters.
