Description
Horos is a high-ranking scientist serving the forces of Vega, who arrives to assist in the campaign to recover Grendizer and defeat its pilot, Duke Fleed. His background is that of a brilliant but ruthless technical innovator, whose primary contribution to the war effort is the creation of increasingly destructive war machines.

In terms of personality, Horos is defined by his role as a scientist and strategist. Unlike a typical frontline commander, he approaches the conflict with a more subtle and calculated mindset, focusing on technological solutions to overcome his enemies. He is not portrayed as a simple villain; instead, he possesses a degree of depth and emotional complexity that adds volume to the antagonistic forces. This is evident in his willingness to personally infiltrate Earth, using a convincing human disguise to observe his targets and further his objectives.

Horos’s principal motivation is to use his scientific genius to serve the Vega forces and achieve victory. His role in the story is that of the primary technical antagonist, responsible for upgrading the Vega forces' arsenal. He is credited with significant technological advancements, including the modification of the Vega Star cannon so its destructive ray can follow a curved trajectory, renaming it the Delta Ray. He also creates the Monstrogoths, which are depicted as being even more dangerous than previous war machines and notable for being partially organic in nature.

Key relationships are primarily defined by his service to the Vega empire and his enmity towards the Earth defenders. His interactions are largely conducted through the deployment of his creations and his personal infiltration missions, where he uses a human disguise that notably resembles another character, Daisuke Jigen. Regarding his development, Horos demonstrates a strong instinct for self-preservation. His story arc includes a significant moment where he manages to escape the destruction of the Vega Star, thereby saving his own life to continue his work.

Horos possesses several notable abilities that combine his scientific expertise with personal combat gear. He is a gifted engineer capable of creating biomechanical weapons like the Monstrogoths and devising strategic modifications to existing super-weapons. For personal use, he wears a blue helmet and a yellow uniform, and his eye-patch houses a computer that can project images. He is also skilled in subterfuge, using a realistic human disguise to move unnoticed on Earth.
