Description
Lunor Faust, whose name is more accurately known as Lunoire Faust, is a supporting character in the fifth season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? She works as a waitress at the Hostess of Fertility tavern in the labyrinth city of Orario. Before her retirement, she was a feared bounty hunter known simply as Faust and was a member of the Demeter Familia. She is a Level 4 adventurer, specializing in hand-to‑hand combat, and is nicknamed Black Fist for her powerful fist‑fighting style.

Born to parents who lived in a territory of the empire, she lost them to war and grew up as a street child. After learning about the falna, she joined a Familia, but when her goddess was forced back to heaven, she began traveling alone. She arrived in Orario nine years before the main story and failed her first mission, which was to assassinate the Gulliver Brothers, barely escaping with her life. After that, she refused jobs targeting first‑class adventurers. Her last bounty‑hunting assignment was to kill the wanted elf Ryuu Lion, but she failed and subsequently decided to quit the life of a killer. She joined the Hostess of Fertility, where she has since worked alongside Ryuu, Syr Flova, Chloe Rollo, and Anya Fromel.

Personality wise, Lunor is straightforward, caring, and protective of those she considers friends. She once tried to distance herself from her own Familia to shield them from the danger her past could bring. Despite her tough exterior, she holds a low opinion of herself because of the deaths she caused as a bounty hunter. She enjoys a good fight, particularly against challenging opponents, and admits that it was her encounters with targets like Ryuu that kept her in the business. However, she grew weary of the violence over the years and wanted to retire after her last failed hunt. In quieter moments, she has expressed a simple desire to find a kind husband who would let her laze about in a small house.

Her motivations are rooted in loyalty to her found family at the Hostess of Fertility. In the fifth season, when tensions rise between the Hestia Familia and the Freya Familia over Syr’s identity and Bell Cranel, Lunor stands firmly with her colleagues. She participates in the defense of Syr, engaging in combat against the forces of the Freya Familia to protect her friend. Her role is that of a steadfast ally, using her experience and brute strength to bolster the tavern’s fighting power during the crisis.

Key relationships include her deep bond with Ryuu Lion, whom she once hunted but now respects as a coworker and friend. She shares a particularly strong kinship with fellow waitress Chloe Rollo; both lost their families to violence, arrived in Orario at around the same time, failed their first missions, and lived next to each other in the same apartment block. Lunor is also devoted to the goddess Demeter, though she keeps her distance from the Familia out of a sense of self‑loathing. She cares for Syr like a younger sister and is willing to fight the most powerful adventurers in Orario to keep her safe.

Development wise, Lunor’s arc centers on her struggle to reconcile her violent past with her desire for a peaceful life. Her decision to become a waitress rather than a killer represents a significant personal transformation, though she still wrestles with guilt. The events of the fifth season force her to relive some of that violence, but she channels it into protecting the people she now loves.

In terms of abilities, as a Level 4, her physical prowess is far beyond that of lower‑level adventurers. She possesses superhuman strength, able to shatter walls and leave craters in the ground, as well as remarkable speed and durability. Her combat style is purely hand‑to‑hand, relying on her fists and overwhelming aggression to pressure opponents. She wears gloves with metal plates that allow her to block blades. Her development abilities include Fist Strike and Fist Fighter, enhancing her unarmed combat. She is a skilled and instinctive fighter with an almost perfect success rate in her bounty‑hunting days, and even a poisoned Ryuu acknowledged that Lunor would have been a difficult opponent at full strength. Her fighting approach is direct and brutal, favoring frontal assaults over subterfuge.
