Description
Mika Kamei is a first-year high school student at Joshu North High School who appears in the anime film Trapezium. She stands out for her kind-hearted nature and dedication to volunteering, particularly teaching children, which reflects her sincere and altruistic disposition. She is visually characterized by long black hair and blue eyes, giving her a composed and mature exterior. Underneath this gentle surface, Mika carries a reserved and soft-spoken personality, but her past experiences have left her mentally unstable, leading to deep internal conflicts and moments of emotional turmoil. She is known as the Northern Star, one of four girls carefully selected and befriended by the protagonist, Yū Higashi, who is determined to form an idol group. Mika and Yū were old schoolmates from grade school, which gives their connection a long history. Within the group, Mika’s role is that of the compassionate, community-oriented member, though her personal struggles often create friction and challenge the group’s harmony. Over the course of the story, she deals with the weight of her past and her own insecurities, gradually learning to overcome her doubts as she works toward a shared dream. Her journey is one of finding stability and self-worth through the bonds she forms with the other girls, making her growth a central part of the group’s collective development. Her notable abilities lie in her dedication to helping others and her capacity for deep empathy, even when her own resolve is tested.
