Ouranos leads the Guild in Orario. He descended from heaven over a thousand years ago, becoming the first deity to grant mortals falna and establish the initial familia. One of his early dependents was the legendary architect Daedalus. At an unspecified time, he encountered Fels, who became his secret agent.
Ouranos maintains a stoic and selfless demeanor, dedicating his existence to preserving peace. He follows a philosophy of ruling without governing, delegating Guild operations to Royman Mardeel. He stations himself in the Room of Prayer beneath the Guild, where for a millennium he has continuously channeled his divinity in prayer. This prayer suppresses the Dungeon's monsters, preventing mass outbreaks that would devastate the surface world, making his role fundamental to global stability. His prayers also attune him to abnormal Dungeon events, such as the emergence of rare entities like Juggernauts.
As a Great God, Ouranos possesses divinity and presence surpassing ordinary deities. This grants him heightened resistance to charms, though not complete immunity to powers like Freya's. He exhibits supernatural perception, instantly detecting mortal falsehoods through divine intuition, though he cannot discern lies from other gods. His abilities include creating a Divine Mirror to observe any location in the lower world without violating restrictions on using arcanum.
Ouranos demonstrates compassion and openness to unconventional ideas. He is the first deity to advocate for peaceful coexistence between surface dwellers and the Xenos—intelligent monsters capable of speech and emotion. He tasks Bell Cranel and the Hestia Familia with escorting the dragon-girl Wiene to safety and facilitating connections between humans and Xenos. He reveals this initiative is part of a long-standing secret alliance, shared only with Ganesha, to protect the Xenos through Fels's covert operations.
When the Ikelos Familia captures Wiene and incites Xenos retaliation, Ouranos orchestrates the crisis response. He mobilizes the Ganesha Familia to contain the conflict on the 18th Floor while discreetly supporting Bell's efforts to rescue Wiene from Knossos, the artificial labyrinth. His secrecy fuels theories about hidden motives. Some speculate he may be connected to the Black Dragon or that his support of Bell conceals a grander scheme, though no direct evidence confirms these claims.
Ouranos is named after the Greek primordial sky deity. His physical appearance includes white hair, blue eyes, and attire consisting of a white robe, black hooded cloak, and sandals.
