Description
Asako Kurokawa serves as the supervisor to the protagonists, Rika and Takuya. She is a married woman, and her character is used to explore the limits that marriage can impose on an individual's life, specifically how it can create a routine that feels overly predictable or constraining. Asako is the one who proposes that Rika and Takuya manage an immersive blog for their company as a way to document their supposed life as a couple about to be married and living together. This proposal is made in the context of her role at the company and is intended to bolster the credibility of the protagonists' fabricated relationship. The story confronts Asako with the reality of her own marriage, highlighting her feelings about the boundaries it has set on her once more varied life. Her function in the narrative is to create a significant development for the main characters, forcing them to confront their true feelings and reconsider the morality of their plan to avoid a transfer, as its success would mean sending someone else in their place. Her own situation provides a contrasting perspective on marriage, moving the central duo to question their own views on the institution and their relationship with one another.
