Description
Oasis is a supporting character in the anime Bikkuri-Men. She works part-time at the Angel Mart convenience store, which serves as one of the main settings for the series' conflicts over valuable Bikkuri-Man seals. She is the older sister of Cross, a first-year high school student who frequently visits the store to buy its popular chicken snack. Oasis carries the factor of Oasis Tennyo, an angelic figure from the Bikkuriman mythology, though her connection to that world remains deliberately understated for much of the story.
Her outward presence at the store is that of a confident and commanding senior figure. She is feared by her younger coworker Jack, who addresses her as Oasis nee-san, indicating the respect and intimidation she commands in her workplace. Beneath that tough exterior, however, she has a notably soft and romantic side. When her admired regular customer Ippontsuri is near, she becomes a flustered, lovestruck young woman, a contrast that makes her one of the more endearing presences in the cast. A line associated with her reflects this tendency: she can endure the bitterness of alcohol but remains unaccustomed to the bitterness of love.
Her central motivation is protecting her younger sister. Oasis deeply wants Cross to live a peaceful life, and she deliberately keeps the existence of the factor, along with the larger conflict attached to it, a secret from her. This protective secrecy defines her role in the story. While she is connected to the Angel Mart side of the seal battles through her workplace, her personal storyline is less about the rivalry between the stores and more about shielding her sister from the dangers surrounding the seals.
Her key relationships shape much of her character. With Cross, she is a caring but guarded older sister who conceals important truths for the sake of the girl's safety. With Jack, she is the intimidating senior whose nickname for her reflects the fear she inspires. With Ippontsuri, she is a shy admirer, and her behavior around him exposes the softer, more vulnerable side of her personality that her workplace demeanor usually hides.
In terms of notable abilities, Oasis possesses the factor of Oasis Tennyo. In the world of Bikkuri-Men, these factors connect modern characters to the legendary angel and devil figures of the original Bikkuriman lore, and they play a central role in the seal-based powers that drive the conflict. Her possession of such a factor places her among the characters tied to that larger mythology, even though her personal priorities remain focused on family and an ordinary life. Her development is built around the tension between that hidden inheritance and her desire to keep her sister away from it, as the seal conflict gradually presses in on the peaceful existence she tries to preserve.
