Description
Born on March 19, 1923, in a small village near Tokyo, Sakura Amamiya is the daughter of swordsmith Tekkan Amamiya and Hinata Amamiya. Her childhood included playful wooden sword fights with friend Seijuro Kamiyama using blades crafted by her father, alongside a friendship with Hatsuho Shinonome. A demon attack under a cherry blossom tree at her home became pivotal when Sakura Shinguji rescued her, inspiring Sakura to join the Imperial Combat Revue and follow Shinguji's path. She later promised Seijuro they would marry when older.

Her friendship with Hatsuho fractured during ceremonial dance practice, escalating into a fight that sent Sakura away in tears. The rift persisted when Tekkan stopped delivering swords to Shinonome Shrine, preventing reconciliation. After her mother’s death and Seijuro’s naval training departure, Sakura trained rigorously under swordsmaster Hakushu Murasame. One winter, she attempted to strengthen her resolve by diving into a river but abandoned the practice after one attempt.

Moving to Tokyo, Sakura joined the Imperial Combat Revue alongside Hatsuho. The Revue had declined after the Great Kouma War, its original members gone. Sakura aimed to revive its combat strength and theatrical performances to honor Shinguji’s legacy. Early stage clumsiness—like tripping during a *Momotaro* play—led her to persuade star actress Anastasia Palma to coach her, gradually refining her skills.

Sakura faced crisis when Yasha, a demon disguised as Shinguji, destroyed her Mugen mecha, crushed her dreams, and nearly killed her, plunging her into despair. A physical altercation with Hatsuho sparked her realization that her true goal was protecting Tokyo like Shinguji, not emulating her. Renewed resolve let her lead the Christmas play outdoors after the theater stage’s destruction.

Her Imperial Sword "Amamiya Kunisada" revealed Hinata’s spirit inside, sacrificed by Tekkan to forge the blade and seal the Archdemon during the Great Demon War. When Shadow Tokyo’s seal weakened, authorities demanded Sakura’s life to recreate the sword. Seijuro refused, leading a mission to stabilize the seal. Sakura confronted Yasha in a final battle, exposing the imposter. During the conflict, she traveled to the past, encountering Hinata and saving her younger self from the demon attack, fulfilling her inspiration’s cycle.

Post-battle, Sakura weakened the Archdemon with the sword, enabling Seijuro to defeat Genan and reseal Shadow Tokyo. Appointed vice-captain, she received transfer orders to the Shanghai Combat Revue. Departing by ship, Seijuro intercepted her, confessing his desire for her to stay. She leaped into the ocean, and they embraced as comrades showered them with petals.

One year later, with Seijuro on a covert mission in Russia, Sakura became acting captain of the Flower Division. Her leadership faced tests when Seijuro entrusted Klara M. Ruzhkova—a young amnesiac from the destroyed Moscow Combat Revue—to their care. Sakura guided Klara through Tokyo and the Imperial Theater. At a Shinonome Shrine festival, Klara’s mysterious power revived a long-dormant cherry blossom tree symbolizing Sakura and Hatsuho’s fractured friendship, enabling their reconciliation.

Sakura coordinated the Flower Division against Valery Kaminski of the New Moscow Combat Revue, who sought Klara. She shielded Klara from assassination attempts by a robotic "Black Cape" and uncovered Klara’s ability to amplify spiritual powers. Throughout, Sakura balanced tactical command with nurturing Klara’s recovery, cementing her leadership focused on team cohesion and Tokyo’s safety.

Personality-wise, Sakura mirrors Shinguji’s positivity and justice-driven nature but exhibits distinct traits. Optimism endures through adversity, though jealousy flares when Seijuro interacts with other women. She values promises intensely, reacting strongly to broken ones. Early clumsiness in theater performances yielded to disciplined training. Deep loyalty drives her to protect comrades and civilians equally, yet self-doubt occasionally surfaces over leadership. Sewing skills stem from frequently repairing the Flower Division’s costumes.
