Description
Mitsuki Kiryu is a first-year student at Furin High School and a member of Bofurin’s Vaisravana Unit, often called the Tamon Team. He is recognized as one of the strongest freshmen in the school. Kiryu has a distinct appearance with mid-length pink hair swept back and green eyes, giving him an effeminate look. He stands 165 centimeters tall and weighs 60 kilograms. His birthday is August 19, and his blood type is A.
Before entering Furin, Kiryu attended an elite middle school for wealthy students, which gives him a refinement that sets him apart from many of his peers. His family includes his father, two older brothers, and an older sister, and he harbors strong resentment toward his father, who is described as oppressive and abusive. Kiryu’s fighting ability is partly inherited from his family background.
In personality, Kiryu is consistently calm and gentle, rarely showing anger and often wearing a slight smile. He is considerate and adjusts his behavior to the situation, always willing to help others. He has a strong distaste for those who underestimate or mistreat girls, and he considers traditional gender roles outdated. He is also attached to his phone, frequently playing games and making it a habit to claim daily login bonuses. He affectionately adds “chan” to the names of close friends.
Kiryu’s motivations align with Bofurin’s mission of protecting the town of Makochi. He supports his teammates in conflicts with a composed and reliable presence, using his fighting skills effectively. His role in the story is that of a dependable ally who brings a modern, easygoing energy to the group while remaining formidable in battle. Although much of his backstory involving his family and personal development is explored later in the manga, the anime has only begun to hint at these depths. Among his notable abilities, Kiryu is considered one of the five strongest fighters in his grade, combining technical skill with a calm demeanor in combat.
