Michiru Kiryū is a former antagonist from the series Futari wa Precure Splash Star who reappears as a supporting character in Power of Hope: Precure Full Bloom, the adult-oriented sequel that follows the lives of former Pretty Cure heroines years after their original adventures. Originally a denizen of Dark Fall, Michiru was created by the villain Akudaikan and served as a guardian of the infiltrated Fountain of Sky alongside her sister Kaoru Kiryū. She first appeared as a transfer student in the class of protagonists Saki Hyuuga and Mai Mishou, sent to investigate the strength of the Pretty Cure. In those early appearances, Michiru displayed a cold and emotionally distant demeanor, though she was notably more sociable and outwardly cooperative than her sister.
