Nozomi Yumehara is the central protagonist of Power of Hope: Precure Full Bloom, a series set years after the events of Yes! Precure 5 and Yes! Precure 5 GoGo. As a young adult, she works as a schoolteacher, a profession that reflects her enduring desire to help others pursue their dreams. In her middle school years, she met the fairy Coco from the Palmier Kingdom and became Cure Dream, the Precure of Hope, fighting alongside her friends to protect the world. In Full Bloom, she and her former teammates have lost their transformation items and are navigating the challenges of adult life, including careers, relationships, and lingering self-doubt. Nozomi is characterized by her cheerful, energetic, and optimistic nature, though she can be somewhat clumsy and scatterbrained. These traits persist into adulthood, but she also carries a deeper sense of responsibility and occasional uncertainty about her ability to guide her students. Her primary motivation is to support the dreams of others, especially her student Rumi, who faces a difficult family situation. When a mysterious enemy named Bell unleashes creatures called Shadows that feed on negative emotions, Nozomi’s strong wish to meet Rumi again in the future awakens a Time Flower, allowing her to transform once more into Cure Dream. She reunites with her childhood friend Rin Natsuki and the rest of the Precure 5 team—Urara Kasugano, Komachi Akimoto, Karen Minazuki, and Kurumi Mimino—as well as former Precure from other seasons, Saki Hyuga and Mai Mishou. Nozomi’s key relationship is with Rin, her longtime best friend, and she also shares a close bond with Coco, the fairy who first granted her powers.
