TV-Series
Description
Ire is a mysterious young man who serves as the primary antagonist in the Witchy Precure! -MIRAI DAYS- series. He has a deliberately ordinary and unassuming appearance, which stands out compared to the typically fantastical designs of enemies in the Pretty Cure franchise. Ire has short orange hair with a distinct yellow strand on the right side, brown eyes, and wears everyday clothes such as a red jacket with yellow trims over a grey shirt, jeans, and black sneakers with yellow laces. He also has two silver piercings in his ears. He is often seen carrying a shoulder bag and accompanied by a small dog, later revealed to be the Time Beast Chronoust.

Ire's personality is calm, collected, and enigmatic. He often speaks in riddles and uses metaphors related to stories and books, positioning himself as a narrator of events. Despite his role as an adversary, he is not purely evil; his actions are driven by a deep, painful longing to reunite with his deceased mother. This underlying sadness gives him a tragic and sympathetic dimension, making him a more complex figure than a typical villain.

Born and raised in the non-magic world, Ire is the son of a woman named Elina, a graduate of the Magic School. He learned about magic through her stories. After losing his father at a young age and then his mother, Ire was left feeling isolated and obsessed with the idea of returning to the past to see her again. This obsession drove him to independently research and study forbidden dark magic, eventually allowing him to make contact with and control a surviving minion of the evil entity Deusmast. His ultimate goal is to revive Chronoust, the Beast of Time, in order to manipulate time itself and revisit his happy childhood.

In the story, Ire appears before the protagonists Mirai Asahina, Liko Izayoi, and Ha-chan, immediately hinting at future events and revealing that he knows their secret identities. He works at a library in the non-magic world as a cover while he carries out his plans. Ire's primary role is to create conflict by capturing Hisui, a fragment of the power of the legendary Mother Rapapa, which he needs to achieve his goal. He is responsible for sealing Ha-chan inside the Linkle Smartphone and weakening her magical abilities. He creates special barrier fields to trap the Precure and summons powerful monsters from his own memories to fight them.

His most notable relationships are with his mother, Elina, whose memory is his sole motivation. He also has a complex, symbiotic relationship with Chronoust, the time beast he keeps as a pet, from whom he derives his time-manipulating abilities. Ire views Mirai and Liko as rivals but also shows a degree of interest in Mirai, seeing her as a parallel figure who managed to find hope where he could not.

Throughout the series, Ire undergoes a significant but tragic development. He is presented as a ruthless and clever manipulator, yet his actions are consistently fueled by grief. In the final confrontation, he summons a gigantic monster shaped like the Magic School. After being defeated by the Precure, he uses the last of his power to restore Ha-chan. He then turns into a stone statue as he uses Chronoust's power to seemingly travel to the past. Following Chronoust's defeat, Ire's stone body vanishes, and his ultimate fate remains ambiguous, though a glimpse of his younger self smiling in the past with his mother suggests he may have chosen to stay there.

Ire possesses several notable abilities despite not being a magician by trade. He is a self-taught user of dark magic, which allows him to fight on par with the Precure. Through his connection to Chronoust and the Deusmast minion, he can see both the past and the future, travel through time, and even grant this power to others. He uses a pot to release smoky defensive and offensive powers and can create powerful force fields. His ability to seal the magic of other characters, such as Ha-chan, and to create monsters from his own memories are central to his role as a formidable and cunning antagonist.
