Chalce is a major recurring antagonist in Pokémon Horizons: The Series, serving as one of the admins of the Explorers, a mysterious organization. Her name is derived from "chalcedony," a type of mineral, and she is known in Japanese as Agate.
Before joining the Explorers, Chalce worked as a schoolteacher in her hometown. Her school was forced to close due to a lack of funding, a loss that deeply affected her.
