TV-Series
Description
Indi, also known as Indy, is a recurring character who first appears in episode HZ099 of the animated series. He is a male operative of the villainous organization known as the Explorers, where he consistently works as the partner of a fellow agent named Rubella.

Physically, Indi is characterized by sharp, angular facial features and a serious expression. He has olive-colored eyes and black hair with distinctive blue streaks, including one strand that curves across his face.

Indi possesses a calm, composed, and stoic personality. He is a serious individual who remains relentlessly focused on his objectives and demonstrates fierce loyalty to his superiors, particularly to Spinel, whose orders he follows without question. Alongside Rubella, Indi holds a strong and unwavering belief in the cause of the Explorers, viewing the organization as a force for protecting the future of both humans and Pokémon and seeing the Rising Volt Tacklers as dishonest adversaries.

As an agent of the Explorers, Indi's primary mission is to oppose the Rising Volt Tacklers. He is deployed on various operations, often involving the retrieval or utilization of powerful artifacts known as Strong Spheres. These Spheres are a central component of his combat strategy, as he uses them to artificially enhance the power of his Pokémon. A key part of his role in the story is to act as an obstacle for the protagonists, Liko, Roy, and Dot, testing their skills and resolve in battle.

Indi maintains a close and synchronized professional partnership with Rubella, with the two almost always appearing and fighting together as a duo. He reports directly to Spinel, keeping him informed of their successes and failures.

Throughout his appearances, Indi's approach to battle is notably challenged. He and Rubella suffer several defeats at the hands of the Rising Volt Tacklers. A significant point of development comes when their opponents, particularly Dot, analyze their fighting style. It is revealed that over-reliance on Strong Spheres, which are powered by a substance called Laquium, enhances a Pokémon's natural combat instincts but severely damages the trust and bond between the Pokémon and its trainer. This weakness is consistently exploited, leading to Indi and Rubella's defeats. Following these losses, characters like Liko and Roy point out that true strength comes from the bond between a trainer and their Pokémon, a philosophy that directly contradicts Indi and Rubella's methods.

Indi is known to command several Pokémon, often using the Strong Sphere to augment their abilities in battle. His most frequently seen partner is a Paldean Tauros (Aqua Breed), which was his primary Pokémon in his debut battle. In subsequent operations, he has also utilized a Galarian Darmanitan, a Dragalge, multiple Cofagrigus, and a Shiny Electrode.
