Description
Lily is a young kitsune, a fox-eared and two-tailed child, who belongs to the No Name community in Little Garden. She serves as a member of the Senior Group and acts as the Den Mother for the younger children. Her daily responsibilities include looking after the core members of the community, performing various household chores, and tending to the farmlands that sustain No Name. She is the tenth-generation descendant of a lineage that has inherited the community’s farm, and her ancestors were granted divinity by Ukanomitama, the farming god. However, the divinity was still held by her mother when Demon Lords took her away during a Gift Game, leaving Lily to manage the fields using the farming knowledge preserved in books written by her predecessors.
Lily possesses a strong sense of responsibility and carries out her duties without complaint or hesitation. She is entirely devoted to the established rules of Little Garden and cares deeply for the people she helps take care of. Her personality is diligent and earnest, and she takes pride in her work as a farmer and caretaker. Although she is still a child, she strives to be dependable and to contribute meaningfully to the recovery of No Name. She is good friends with Jin, another member of the community, and shares a close bond with the other children.
Her primary motivation is to restore the prosperity of No Name, especially its farmland, and to repay the debts she feels she owes to the more powerful members of the community, such as Izayoi and Kuro Usagi. She hopes that one day the fields will be fertile enough to produce food that can be showcased during events like the Harvest Festival, allowing her to prove the value of her daily efforts. She holds Izayoi in high regard and is initially surprised to learn that someone so strong also willingly does housework, which highlights the cultural differences between Little Garden and the outside world.
Lily’s role in the story is that of a supporting character who represents the everyday life and hopes of the ordinary members of No Name. While she does not possess the overwhelming combat power of the main problem children, she is essential for the community’s daily operations and morale. Her development is tied to the gradual revival of No Name’s farmland and her growing confidence in her own abilities as a caretaker and farmer. Notable among her traits is her heritage as a Herald divine beast of the god of grains, which gives her a natural affinity for agriculture and a deep connection to the land. She is also capable of leading the Senior Group on errands and coordinating tasks during community events, showing her organizational skills.
