Description
Asumi Fuurin is a central character who appears in the crossover film Eiga Precure All Stars F, originating from the television series Healin Good Pretty Cure. She is the alter ego of the legendary warrior Cure Earth, known as the Pretty Cure of Wind. Her very existence is unique among her peers, as she is not a human girl but a spirit born directly from the will of the Earth itself. She was created in response to a desperate prayer from Queen Teatine, the ruler of the Healing Garden, who wished for someone to protect her daughter, the young puppy-like fairy named Latte. Consequently, Asumi materialized in a form resembling the queen's former Pretty Cure partner, appearing as a young woman around twenty years of age with long blonde hair often styled into a neat bun and pale purple eyes.

Despite her mature and serene appearance, Asumi possesses the mind and understanding of a newborn. Having just come into existence, she has no life experience or knowledge of human customs, societal norms, or even basic emotions like affection, surprise, or what it means for something to be "cute." This lack of common sense leads to many endearing but awkward situations as she navigates daily life. For example, she does not initially know how to use chopsticks, misunderstands the function of a shower, or views traffic lights as mere decorations rather than safety signals. Her personality is defined by a profound, unwavering kindness and a gentle, soft-spoken demeanor. She speaks with a polite and slightly old-fashioned tone, treating everyone from her closest friends to her most bitter enemies with formal respect. However, this gentle nature does not make her passive; she shows a fiercely resolute and merciless side when confronting the Byogens, the forces of illness and corruption, whom she considers an absolute evil that consumes the Earth.

Asumi's primary motivation and defining characteristic is her absolute devotion to protecting Latte. She was born for this singular purpose, and in her earliest days, this mission is all that matters to her. She is obsessively overprotective, even addressing the fairy as Latte-sama, and initially fails to understand why anyone would prioritize anything other than the fairy's safety. This creates initial friction with Latte, who feels smothered and needs space, leading to a brief period of estrangement between them. Her growth as a character revolves around learning to become more than just a guardian. Through her interactions with the other Pretty Cure warriors, she begins to develop her own identity. Nodoka Hanadera, who becomes her host family and gives her the name Asumi, teaches her about familial kindness. Chiyu Sawaizumi helps her understand the nuances of human emotion, and Hinata Hiramitsu introduces her to the concepts of surprise and cuteness. These lessons help Asumi move beyond her initial one-track mind, allowing her to form her own bonds, develop a sense of self, and even take on part-time work, all while keeping her core promise to keep Latte safe.

In the narrative of Eiga Precure All Stars F, Asumi plays a vital role as a member of the assembled legendary warriors. When the group is split into separate teams across a fractured, mysterious world, she finds herself alongside other veteran Precures. Her importance transcends her combat abilities. As a spirit of the Earth, she serves as a living connection to the natural world. When the other Precures face despair, believing their worlds and the planet itself to have been destroyed by the film's antagonist, Prim, Asumi provides the crucial insight that restores their hope. By stating that she can still feel the life and hearts of the people on Earth, she proves that the world is not truly gone. This revelation gives the other heroes the hint they need to begin restoring their lost realities, making her presence essential not for her power, but for the hope and truth she represents.

Asumi's key relationships anchor her development. Her bond with Nodoka is sisterly, with Nodoka acting as a patient mentor to the world-naive spirit. Her partnership with Latte evolves from a rigid, duty-bound guardianship into a true, mutual friendship where she respects the fairy's wishes and calls her simply by her name. In the film, she forms quick alliances with other Precures, working alongside them to survive and find their missing friends. Her power set is intrinsically tied to her nature as a wind spirit. In her civilian form, she possesses superhuman strength, durability, and speed, and can even become transparent or fade if she experiences emotional distress. She can also open portals using the wind. As Cure Earth, she transforms using an Element Bottle with Latte by her side. Her hair turns a flowing lavender, and her eyes shift to pale blue. Her primary weapon is the Earth Windy Harp, which she uses to perform her powerful finishing move, Healing Hurricane, a swirling vortex of purple wind that purifies her enemies. She can also wield specialized bottles, such as the Air Bottle and Sound Bottle, to perform a variety of elemental and sonic attacks.
