OVA
Description
Ivan Whisky, designated Cyborg 001, is a supporting character in the crossover anime. He is a Russian infant cyborg who appears to be barely a year old. His physical development has been permanently halted, leaving him in the form of a baby with fair skin and pale, light blue hair styled into a bowl cut, with the fringe completely covering his eyes. He is almost always seen with a white pacifier in his mouth that has a yellow handle. Unlike his teammates who wear militaristic uniforms, Ivan wears a bright red blanket sleeper with four small yellow buttons on the front, paired with a shorter version of the team's signature yellow scarf.

Ivan's backstory is briefly revealed through a Black Ghost file, which confirms that his father, the renowned brain surgeon Gamo Whisky, performed radical brain enhancement experiments on him. His mother, Erika, attempted to stop these plans and was murdered by Gamo as a result. These experiments granted Ivan immense psychic powers but also trapped him in his infant state. After his father's actions, Ivan was acquired and further modified by the clandestine organization Black Ghost, becoming the first of their 00-series cyborgs.

The personality of this incarnation of Ivan is described as peaceful and calm, even when facing dire situations. He primarily communicates using telepathy, as his underdeveloped infant vocal cords prevent him from speaking normally. He is typically seen sleeping or floating in a basket, and he tends to remain passive through much of the plot due to his body's need for rest. Despite his infantile and vulnerable appearance, he possesses a hyper-intelligent and strategic mind that exceeds that of an average adult human. He acts as a guiding presence for the other cyborgs, and he retains his composed demeanor even during the ultimate battle.

Ivan's role in the story is largely that of a tactical linchpin and last-resort asset. He spends most of his time sleeping to conserve his energy, but he wakes up in response to situations that the other cyborgs are unable to handle alone, showing great care and concern for his team. He is the one who abruptly wakes to alert the team to the presence of a "Devil," setting the crossover plot in motion. For much of the conflict, he remains in a passive role, but he awakens for the final battle. There, he collaborates with another psychic cyborg, Eva Maria Pallares, designated Cyborg 0015. Ivan uses his abilities to assist Eva in separating her soul from her body via astral projection, allowing her to confront the demon Atun that had possessed her brother. This collaboration came at the cost of the siblings' lives, but it significantly weakened the demon so that it could be vanquished by others.

Key relationships for Ivan in this story include his connection to his fellow cyborgs, whom he leads and guides with a calm composure. His relationship with Eva/0015 is notably one of collaboration, as he is willing to work with this rival psychic to achieve a common goal. Unlike some other versions of the character, there is no specific mention of his reliance on Cyborg 003 for caregiving within this particular adaptation.

Ivan's development in the narrative is subtle, given his limited active role. He functions as a secret weapon whose primary development is transitioning from a sleeping observer to an active participant in the climax. His core characteristics of physical fragility, supreme intellect, and unwavering resolve remain consistent, and he proves himself to be a masterful strategist who is willing to take decisive, collaborative action to defeat a powerful supernatural threat.

Ivan's notable abilities stem from the cybernetic enhancements to his brain, granting him a suite of powerful psychic capabilities. He has telepathy, which he uses as his primary means of communication. He possesses powerful telekinesis, which he uses to levitate himself, move objects, and intervene in battle, such as when he helped Eva by using his telekinesis to assist her astral projection. His extrasensory perception (ESP) allows him to sense supernatural threats, which is how he detects the devils and warns his team. He is also capable of teleportation. While he is considered one of the most powerful cyborgs on the team due to his abilities, his infant body is frail and cannot maintain this awesome power for very long. The immense strain of using his abilities forces him to fall asleep for extended periods afterward.
