Description
Main Kurimina is a student at Hakurei Ryo Gakuen, attending the high school division as a second-year student in the Department of Education. Despite being nineteen years old, she has an extremely youthful appearance that resembles an elementary school child, standing only 138 centimeters tall. This childlike physique leads many of her peers to treat her as a mascot, a characterization she deeply resents as she wishes to be seen and respected as a proper senior.
Her background is marked by a serious congenital heart disease that required long-term hospitalization. The condition prevented her from having surgery until she reached a certain age, which ultimately cost her two years of schooling. The successful operation occurred only two years before the events of the story, allowing her to finally attend school on a regular basis. Due to her illness, she spent much of her childhood unable to play outside, and she developed drawing as a hobby by sketching outdoor scenery or scenes from books. Her talent in art has reached an exceptionally high level, with her pieces being highly valued. Rather than feeling proud of this recognition, she finds it burdensome and prefers to avoid the attention it brings from both media and school. This is the reason she chose to enroll in Hakurei Ryo Gakuen and why she keeps to herself, having established a secret hideout in a thicket where she often draws.
She has a habit of referring to herself in the third person, using her own name in conversation. As a person, she is largely shy and has few friends, carrying a fear of being noticed or receiving attention from others. The first meeting with Akiharu Hino occurs when he stumbles upon her hideout after being chased. She specifically orders him to treat her with respect as his senior, distinguishing him from others who simply treat her like a child. Through his support and encouragement, she begins to gain confidence and courage, eventually reaching a point where she can agree to appear in an interview for a monthly art magazine.
Her role in the story revolves around her relationship with Akiharu and her gradual emergence from self-imposed isolation. As she becomes more comfortable, she starts drawing doujinshi and even participates in cosplay, activities she was half-persuaded into but does not actually dislike. Her future dream is to get married. In the second semester of the school year, she does not attend the academy due to matters at home.
In terms of abilities, her artistic talent is her most defining skill. The drawings she creates are of world-class quality.
