Description
Lala Hagoromo, who transforms into Cure Milky, is a central character in the anime film Eiga Precure Miracle Leap: Minna to Fushigi na 1-nichi. She originates from the distant planet Saman, where she served as a Level 8 investigator tasked with studying space debris. During a mission, she encountered the fairy Fuwa and the mascot Prunce while they were fleeing an attack on the Star Palace, and she helped them escape in her rocket, ultimately warping to Earth with Fuwa's power. On Earth, Lala was given the surname Hagoromo by her close friend Hikaru Hoshina, a name that references the feather garments of heavenly maidens in folklore. Lala is a humanoid alien with pointed ears, teal hair, and antennae that are usually hidden under caps; when she transforms into Cure Milky, her antennae grow into large star-shaped appendages. She speaks with a distinctive verbal tic, ending her sentences with -lun, and often uses the exclamation Oyo.

Lala's personality is marked by a strong sense of responsibility and a serious, analytical nature. On her home planet, thirteen years old is considered the age of adulthood, and she feels pressured to prove her maturity, which sometimes makes her headstrong and reluctant to show vulnerability. She is naturally reserved and cautious, preferring to analyze situations before acting, yet she is also deeply curious about human customs and the world around her. Over time, her friendships help her relax and embrace a more youthful, playful side. Her primary motivation is to protect the universe from darkness, specifically the Notraiders, who seek to capture Fuwa and steal the power of the Star Princesses. She is driven by a desire to fulfill her duties as a Precure and to support her friends, even when she doubts her own abilities.

In the context of the movie Eiga Precure Miracle Leap, Lala joins forces with the other Star Twinkle Precure members—Hikaru Hoshina, Elena Amamiya, Madoka Kaguya, and Yuni—as well as the Precure teams from HUGtto! Precure and Healin' Good Precure. The story revolves around the spirit Miraclun, who represents tomorrow, and the antagonist Refrain, who represents yesterday and pursues Miraclun for an unknown purpose. Lala works alongside the combined teams to protect Miraclun and prevent Refrain from disrupting the flow of time. Her role in the film highlights her ability to cooperate with heroines from other eras, showcasing her adaptability and her commitment to teamwork.

Key relationships in Lala's life include her close bond with Hikaru Hoshina, whose enthusiastic and imaginative outlook helps Lala loosen up and enjoy being a child, while Lala's dedication and seriousness help Hikaru stay focused. She also develops a strong connection with Yuni, another alien from a different planet, as they share the experience of being outsiders on Earth. Lala encourages Yuni to try new things and grows pleased when Yuni becomes more comfortable. With the other Precure teams in the movie, she forms temporary but meaningful alliances, demonstrating mutual respect and cooperation.

Throughout her journey, Lala undergoes noticeable development. Initially burdened by the expectation to act like an adult, she gradually learns that it is acceptable to make mistakes and to rely on others. Her growth is reflected in her increasing openness and her willingness to accept help from her friends. Her notable abilities as Cure Milky include the power to control stars and galaxies, and her signature attack, Precure Milky Shock, which amplifies the electrical conductivity of her antennae to shock enemies. This attack can be modified by using different Princess Star Color Pens, such as those representing the constellations Leo, Gemini, and Cancer. She also possesses advanced technical skills, operating her rocket and handling complex machinery with ease, and she is known for her competence as an investigator.
