Description
Melca Tiano is a supporting character in the anime The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess. She is a young woman belonging to the Sogyo, or Azureite, race and works as a journalist for the Rokkoku Newspaper at its Mulnight branch. Her physical appearance includes orange eyes and blue hair cut to neck-length, and she is often seen wearing a cap, shorts, and stockings.

As a reporter, Melca is characterized by a bold, fearless, and highly assertive personality. She is relentless in her pursuit of a story and operates with a clear disregard for conventional ethics, showing no hesitation to twist facts, exaggerate statements, or even fabricate information entirely to achieve her goals. She takes great pride in her craft and lives by a personal motto, proclaiming that she creates the world with her pen. This ambition drives her to thrive in chaos and controversy, and she is willing to break the law if it means securing a major scoop.

Her primary motivation is to shape public opinion and influence events through her writing. This is most evident in her role following the appointment of the protagonist, Terakomari Gandesblood, as one of the Seven Crimson Lords. Eager for an exclusive interview, Melca was the first to speak with the newly appointed leader. However, she deliberately manipulated and exaggerated Komari’s words in her subsequent article. This sensationalized reporting was instrumental in creating and cementing Komari’s public image as a terrifying figure known as the Conqueror of Massacre, a reputation that spread rapidly across the continent.

Her key relationship is with Terakomari Gandesblood, which is largely antagonistic. While Melca is a simple reporter, her actions have massive repercussions on Komari’s life and public standing, much to the protagonist's fury. Among her peers at the newspaper, she is known as an unconventional voice, often criticized for her dubious methods but also respected for her undeniable talent and the immense influence her stories wield. Melca’s notable abilities lie not in physical combat but in her mastery of words and manipulation. Her fearless attitude and narrative skills ensure that her reports, regardless of their truthfulness, spread rapidly and have a significant impact across the six nations.
