Description
Remy Shimada piloted the Queen Rose jet in the Good Thunder team, combining with two other aircraft to form the TriThree robot and ultimately integrate as the left leg component of the larger battle robot GoShogun. Prior to joining the team, her background involved espionage; a critical mission failure led to her capture and imprisonment after her boyfriend died during the incident. In captivity, she attempted suicide by slashing her wrists with glass from a shattered locket.
Orphaned young after her mother's death, she spent part of her childhood as a street urchin in France, where she faced harassment from local boys but consistently fought back. A pivotal incident saw her fall into an open grave or deep pit, leaving her trapped and resigned to death. While isolated, she experienced a vision of five spirits who reassured her she was not alone and hinted at future companionship; these spirits symbolically represented the five male teammates she would later fight alongside as an adult.
Decades after the team's active service, traveling to reunite with her former comrades, she suffered severe injuries in a car accident that left her comatose. Medical professionals assessed her chance of survival at 5% due to the crash impact and a previously concealed terminal illness, estimating she had approximately two days to live. As her teammates gathered at her hospital bedside, her consciousness navigated intertwined memories and surreal dreamscapes centered on defying death. One recurring dream sequence featured her and her teammates, all restored to their younger selves, trapped in a hostile desert city where anonymous letters predicted their imminent, gruesome deaths within two days. The city's inhabitants, depicted as fanatical and visually coded with Middle Eastern influences, pursued them as embodiments of inescapable fate.
Simultaneously, her mind revisited the childhood grave trauma and another near-fatal mission from her youth. In the desert dream narrative, facing a monstrous panther-like manifestation of death itself, she sustained injuries but defiantly strapped her revolver to her broken hand. Using her own gravestone for support, she fired her final bullet to vanquish the beast—symbolically rejecting her predetermined demise. Throughout these ordeals, the unwavering support and camaraderie of her teammates served as a crucial emotional anchor, reinforcing her resilience. Her fundamental character consistently demonstrated determination, resourcefulness in survival situations, and a refusal to submit to despair or external predictions of fate. The deep bonds of loyalty and mutual reliance within her team remained central to her experiences across her lifetime.
