Description
Lucifer is a character in the Monster Strike anime special A Rhapsody Called Lucy -The Very First Song-, where he serves as a central figure in the story’s musical narrative. He is the cousin of the protagonist Lucy and a leading member of the indie band Wicked Pistols alongside his bandmate Ibaraki Douji. After Lucy’s own band disbands, leaving her disillusioned and cynical about music, Lucifer approaches her to join his group. His clear motivation is to achieve mainstream success by winning the MONSTERS ROCK competition, a dream he passionately presents to Lucy, only for her to reject him outright. Despite this initial refusal, Lucifer does not give up, and his persistent belief in their shared musical potential contributes to a gradual thaw in Lucy’s emotional coldness following a specific event. His personality is defined by ambition, determination, and an unwavering conviction that music can make a difference, contrasting sharply with Lucy’s early despair. His key relationships are his familial tie with Lucy and his collaborative bond with Ibaraki Douji, the latter serving as his bandmate and partner in the Wicked Pistols. In terms of development, he begins as a hopeful recruiter and remains committed to his goal even when faced with rejection, playing an instrumental role in reigniting Lucy’s passion for music. Notable abilities center on his talent as a musician and his capacity to lead a band, as well as his persuasive drive to bring others into his creative vision.
