Movie
Description
Angelino Diaz, known as Lino, is a 22-year-old resident of Dark Meat City. He possesses a short stature contrasted by a disproportionately large, spherical head, oversized eyes with tiny pitch-black pupils, and sleek, shiny onyx-like skin. A horizontal scar marks his belly and left side. His visual depiction adapts across media, sometimes showing a lighter skin tone and softer expressions. Typically dressed in unremarkable urban clothes, he favors baggy trousers and light-colored shirts that stand out against his dark skin.
He self-identifies as a loser, prioritizing survival through meekness and avoiding conflict. Despite frustration, he maintains more optimism than his friend Vinz, actively seeking silver linings. He exhibits caring tendencies, feeding cockroaches in his apartment and tolerating Willy. An instant infatuation with Luna reveals his naïve, romantic side. His half-Macho heritage, however, surfaces in bursts of uncharacteristic brutality under threat, abilities he becomes reluctant to use due to their uncontrollable, destructive potential.
Born in Great Falls, Montana to a Macho father and human mother, he was hunted from infancy by Bruce and the Men in Black for elimination or indoctrination. His family fled to Dark Meat City, where his mother Angela abandoned him in a dumpster for protection; Taz, a wounded Macho in dog form, found him. By age 22, he works as a pizza delivery driver until Luna distracts him, causing a head-on collision. Though he survives, he experiences hallucinations of demonic shadows with tentacles emerging from ordinary people.
His hybrid nature grants superhuman abilities: extreme speed enabling bullet dodging, durability to survive vehicle impacts, wall-crawling, and transforming his arms into combat tentacles. Activating these powers induces a berserk state marked by uncontrollable violent urges. He skillfully improvises weapons, using aerosol flamethrowers, thrown objects, and firearms. The trauma of losing control ultimately leads him to reject these powers entirely.
In the spin-off *Métamuta*, following Vinz's apparent death, he suffers severe psychological deterioration. He hallucinates conversations with a hamburger and visions of Vinz as a skull. Obsessively pursuing a gun to "save the world," he confronts a pawn shop owner and shoves his head into a black hole artifact. Flashbacks reveal childhood abandonment details: his mother instructed him to wait on a chair before Taz retrieved him. His fractured mental state culminates in a cat-and-mouse game with Luna, who exploits his instability to disarm him. Further sequences depict them navigating surreal shared dreams and confronting Macho attackers before reuniting with Vinz through the black hole.
He appears briefly elsewhere: in *Puta Madre*, as a manifestation in Jesus "El Diablo's" dream after a physical altercation, waking in an orphanage while complaining about being struck. In *Loba Loca*, he drives an RV later passed by Tigre and Guadalupe, an encounter occurring concurrently with events in *Mutafukaz 2*.
