Description
Loid Forger, known by his codename Twilight, is the main protagonist of SPY×FAMILY Code: White. He is a master spy operating under the Westalis Intelligence Agency WISE, assigned to the top-secret Operation Strix, which requires him to pose as a psychiatrist and build a fake family in order to infiltrate the inner circle of the Ostanian political figure Donovan Desmond. His true name, age, and birthplace are unknown, as he discarded all traces of his past identity when he became a spy. He was a war orphan, and his driving motivation is to create a world where children do not have to experience the suffering of war.

In Code: White, Loid faces a new challenge when Anya's class holds a cooking competition that could earn her a Stella star, an achievement that would advance Operation Strix. Learning that the Eden Academy principal loves a traditional dessert called Meremere from the northern Frigis region, Loid decides to take the entire Forger family on a trip to sample and recreate the dish. This family outing quickly becomes entangled with a larger conflict when Anya accidentally swallows a microchip containing sensitive military intelligence, drawing the Forgers into a confrontation with rogue elements of the Ostanian military. Loid must juggle his domestic role as a father with the high-stakes demands of espionage, ultimately piloting a vintage aircraft to rescue Anya from a massive airborne warship.

Loid is characterized by his exceptional competence in all areas of espionage. He possesses genius-level intellect, photographic memory, peak physical conditioning, expert marksmanship, and advanced hand-to-hand combat skills. He is a master of disguise and impersonation, capable of adopting a new appearance and voice in under an hour. His psychological acuity allows him to read people and manipulate situations to his advantage. Despite his cold and calculating exterior, Loid harbors a deep, often unacknowledged, emotional core. He initially views his marriage to Yor and his adoption of Anya as purely mission-oriented tools, but over time he develops genuine affection for them. This internal conflict between his professional detachment and his growing paternal and romantic feelings is a central aspect of his character. In Code: White, this is evident in his determination to protect Anya not just as an asset but as his daughter, and in his quiet gestures of care toward Yor, such as buying her a lipstick after she expresses insecurity.

Loid's key relationships define his role in the story. With Anya, he oscillates between being a strict, mission-focused father figure and a genuinely caring parent who takes pride in her accomplishments. His relationship with Yor is built on mutual secrecy and growing, understated intimacy. While neither is fully aware of the other's true profession, they develop a partnership based on trust and shared goals. His dog Bond also becomes a valued family member, with Loid initially treating him as a guard dog but gradually accepting him as a companion. Loid also interacts with his WISE handler Sylvia Sherwood and his colleague Fiona Frost, who complicates his personal life with her unrequited romantic interest in him.

Throughout Code: White, Loid's development is marked by a further softening of his rigid spy persona. He starts to prioritize his family's happiness and safety over the strict parameters of his mission, demonstrating that the lines between his cover identity and his true self are increasingly blurred. His abilities are showcased in the film's climax when he single-handedly infiltrates the enemy warship, fights its commander, and works together with Yor and Anya to prevent the vessel from crashing into a populated town. Loid Forger remains a deeply layered character, balancing the cold logic of a spy with the warmth of a father and husband, and Code: White deepens that complexity by placing his found family at the very center of his choices.
