Description
Minoton is a general of the Underg Empire and serves as the third antagonist to appear in Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure. He is a minotaur-like warrior with a muscular, imposing physique, often seen wearing a kimono with one shoulder exposed, which emphasizes his martial bearing. As a veteran fighter, he previously acted as a demon instructor for the younger empires members Kabaton and Battamonda, training them in the use of Ranborg.

Minoton possesses a hot-blooded personality and places great value on fair competition. He is deeply committed to physical and mental training and approaches combat with honor and civility, refusing to use underhanded tactics or involve innocent bystanders. He prefers to challenge the Pretty Cure openly and directly, seeking a legitimate and proper fight. Despite his blunt and old-fashioned manner of speaking, his true intentions are straightforward and principled.

His role in the story begins as a formidable enemy of the Cures, sent to capture Princess Ellee and further the goals of the Underg Empire. Over the course of his appearances, his honorable nature and respect for worthy opponents lead him to reevaluate his allegiances. He becomes friendly with the residents of Sorashido City and Earth, engaging in casual conversation and showing a sociable side, such as visiting the gym. Eventually, he reconciles with the Cures and, during the final confrontation, sets aside his former loyalties to aid them in saving Skyland. After the conflict, peace between Skyland and the Underg Empire is restored, and Minoton returns to service under Empress Underg.

In terms of abilities, Minoton is a powerful physical combatant, excelling in hand-to-hand martial arts and utilizing his great strength. He also commands Ranborg, the monster-creating tools of the Underg Empire. His fighting style is straightforward, relying on raw power and technique rather than trickery.

Minoton undergoes notable development from a straightforward adversary to an ally who respects the Cures and values bonds beyond the battlefield. His key relationships include his role as a mentor figure to Kabaton and Battamonda, his evolving respect for the Pretty Cure team, and his eventual camaraderie with ordinary Earth people.
