Description
Suikyō Date, referred to in the series simply as Ojii-chan, is the maternal grandfather of the protagonist Chizuko Date in the anime Acro Trip. He is a short elderly man with fair, heavily wrinkled skin, round dark orange eyes with a yellow shade and light yellow triangular pupils that resemble his granddaughter's, and short grey hair. Despite his age, he has a lean build that is said to hide a surprisingly defined six-pack.
He lives in Niigata City, where Chizuko comes to stay with him while her mother takes care of work matters, and it is during this time that she becomes fascinated with the magical girl Berry Blossom. Suikyō is a cheerful, caring, and kind-hearted man who clearly loves his granddaughter and provides her with a warm and stable home.
