Description
Conda Bromco is a Zentradi male who appears as a supporting character in the Super Dimension Fortress Macross television series and its film adaptation, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? He has purple hair and, in his micronized form used for infiltration, stands approximately 1.84 meters tall. As a soldier, Conda is a member of the 8th Zentradi Reconnaissance Unit within the Adoclass fleet, serving under the commander Vrlitwhai Kridanik.
Conda is best known as one third of a trio of Zentradi spies, alongside his comrades Warera Nantes and Loli Dosel. These three are notable as gag characters who provide moments of comic relief. Their collective curiosity about Earthlings leads them to volunteer for a dangerous undercover mission when their superior, Vrlitwhai, puts out a call for spies to infiltrate the human-held Macross fortress. The trio is shrunk to human size using micronization technology and secretly brought aboard the Macross by the Zentradi pilot Milia Fallyna Jenius during a battle.
Once aboard, the three spies take on the mission of observing and reporting on the strange and incomprehensible culture of the humans, which the Zentradi refer to as "miclone culture." Conda often proves to be the sharpest of the three when it comes to figuring out human behavior. For instance, after witnessing Macross bridge operators change their clothes, it is Conda who deduces that the room they entered could provide them with disguises.
The trio's understanding of human culture deepens significantly when they intercept the broadcast of the Miss Macross contest. This event marks a turning point, as they become the first Zentradi to be profoundly affected by human culture, particularly the music of idol singer Lynn Minmay. Their exposure makes them devoted fans of Minmay, and when they eventually return to the Zentradi fleet, they bring back numerous cultural artifacts, including a Minmay doll, inadvertently playing a small but crucial role in the gradual rapprochement between humans and Zentradi.
Throughout their time on the Macross, the trio learns to adapt to everyday human life. They become proficient in various skills, including cooking Earth cuisine, and form friendships with the humans around them, notably befriending the three female bridge operators Vanessa Laird, Kim Kabirov, and Shammy Milliome. When the time comes for them to return to their own forces, they find themselves sad to leave the Macross, demonstrating their genuine emotional attachment to the people and culture they were sent to observe.

They attempt to build lives for themselves in the post-war society of Macross City, taking on various odd jobs to survive. However, this period does not seem to bring them as much happiness as they had hoped. Despite the challenges, Conda remains a loyal and enthusiastic fan of Lynn Minmay alongside his two friends.
