Description
Pr Chen, short for Professor Chen, is the French name for the Pokémon researcher known in English as Professor Oak, and in the film Pokémon 4Ever his story is centered on his younger self, a boy named Sammy. The film presents Sammy as a young Pokémon Trainer from the Johto region who lived forty years before the time of the main series events. He first appears while protecting the Mythical Pokémon Celebi, known as the Voice of the Forest, from a Pokémon Hunter. During the chase, Celebi, badly injured, uses its time-travel ability to flee into the future, accidentally carrying Sammy along into the present era. This displacement sets the film's story in motion, and much of Sammy's early arc involves coming to terms with being stranded in an unfamiliar time.
