Description
Princess Violet, usually called Princess Vi, is an eighteen-year-old rabbit animaloid and the daughter of Emperor Fred in the anime Samurai Pizza Cats. Because her father is incompetent and eccentric, she serves as the unofficial ruler of Little Tokyo, with real governing responsibility falling on her and the royal council. She is small in stature and has light red hair and red eyes. Her full name is Violet, though nearly everyone refers to her as Vi.
Her personality is defined by being spoiled, selfish, temperamental, and impulsive. She is used to getting her own way and reacts poorly when things do not go as she expects. One of her most distinctive habits is threatening to banish anyone who displeases her, even by accident, to Prisoner Island, which she believes to be a terrible place but is actually a tropical paradise she knows nothing about. When that destination becomes too crowded, she sends people to Extras Island instead. Her tantrums and insistence on having her way make her difficult for those around her, and her attendants and palace staff generally comply with her demands out of fear of her punishments.
Despite her difficult surface behavior, the position she holds gives her a more serious side. As the heir to the throne, she is often the only person in the palace with any real common sense, and much of the responsibility for running Little Tokyo falls on her. Her mother is frequently absent, traveling the world, which has left Vi craving her mother's attention while also making her a capable and self-sufficient young woman who treasures whatever time she does spend with her. She has an adventurous streak and sometimes grows bored with palace life, wandering out into the city against the wishes of her attendants so that she can experience the world beyond the castle walls. This habit regularly puts her in danger, since it gives the scheming prime minister, the Big Cheese, opportunities to kidnap her, forcing the Samurai Pizza Cats to rescue her and keep her safe.
