Description
Guido Anchovy is a main protagonist from the anime and a key member of a pizza-delivering ninja team that protects a futuristic city called Little Tokyo. In the original Japanese version, his name is Sukashi, where he holds the identity of Nyankee Number 2. He is a cybernetic, anthropomorphic cat, standing 150 centimeters tall and weighing 55 kilograms, making him the tallest and oldest member of his team at 27 years of age. Guido has brown fur and crimson eyes, and he wears a distinctive blue suit of armor featuring a large red chest plate with yellow accents on his ears, wrists, and feet. A notable piece of his equipment is the light blue monocular telescopic visor on his helmet, which allows him to see objects from a great distance and even see through them.

Guido is characterized by his relaxed, laid-back, and cool demeanor, often acting as the suave and smooth-talking member of the group. He possesses a confident, playboy-like attitude and is frequently seen pursuing romantic interests, though his attempts at romance are almost always unsuccessful. Despite this humorous flaw, he is quick to spring into action whenever a crime occurs or if a damsel in distress catches his eye, demonstrating that his loyalty to justice and his friends runs deep.

His primary weapon of choice is the Samurai Sunspot Umbrella. This versatile tool can be used in several ways: it can fire rings, blast a powerful heat beam, or be spun rapidly to hypnotize enemies. When closed, the umbrella can be used as a club, and when opened, it functions as a shield. Concealed within the weapon's handle is Guido's katana, named the Pikapika, which he uses to perform his finishing move known as the Ichimonji Fire. For added mobility, Guido can dock with a mechanical bird companion called the Goonie Bird, known as Toritsukkun in Japanese, which grants him a powered-up form with the ability to fly. In addition to his combat skills, he has also displayed notable musical talent on certain occasions.

Within the group, Guido has a strong but competitive friendship with his teammate Speedy Cerviche. While they get along as friends and coworkers, they often find themselves as rivals, competing for the affections of a character named Lucille. Guido sometimes views Speedy as a loudmouth, but the rivalry is fundamentally good-natured, and they enjoy competing with each other. With the other female member, Polly Esther, Guido is a friend and teammate, though his actions sometimes anger her, often resulting in him being hit by her frying pan.

Guido’s relationships extend beyond his immediate team. He, along with Speedy, has a crush on Lucille, which is the primary source of their rivalry. He also views Big Al Dente and Francine as his bosses at the pizza restaurant that serves as their base. Francine plays a significant role in his personal development, as she was the one who convinced him to snap out of his self-pity and rejoin his friends in an episode titled No Talent Guido. His view of the antagonist Bad Bird also evolves over the course of the series. Initially seeing him as nothing more than a villain and a rival, Guido later notices Bad Bird's good side and comes to see him as something of a nice coworker.
