TV-Series
Description
Patch is the pet dog of Cinderella and one of the main animal characters in the anime Cinderella Monogatari, known as Wanda in the original Japanese version. He first appears in the first episode. Patch is Cinderella's oldest and closest animal companion, having been raised by her since he was young, and he is treated as a member of the family rather than simply a pet.

In terms of personality, Patch is loyal, friendly, and playful. His devotion to Cinderella is his defining trait, and he is always eager to stay close to her and support her. He is also an attentive and cooperative dog who understands instructions, particularly when they are explained to him clearly.

Patch's role in the story is that of Cinderella's constant companion and helper. After Cinderella is forced into a harsh life of servitude by her stepmother and stepsisters, her fairy godmother Paulette grants Patch the power of speech, along with the mice Chuchu and Bingo and the bird Pappy. From that point, Patch is able to talk directly with Cinderella and join the other animals in keeping her company, helping her with her chores, and watching over her wellbeing throughout the series.

His key relationships center on Cinderella, to whom he is completely devoted, and on his fellow household animals, with whom he shares the gift of speech. Paulette's magic is what enables his ability to communicate, making her an important figure in his life as well, even though his primary bond is with Cinderella.

As for development, Patch remains a steadfast and supportive presence across the series. The gift of speech deepens his connection with Cinderella and allows him to play an active part in her daily life, offering comfort and assistance during her hardships. His notable abilities include his capacity to speak, his understanding of commands, and his willingness to help with household tasks, all of which make him one of the most dependable figures in Cinderella's life.
