Description
Drill Max is a member of the Space Police Kaisers, specifically part of an elite sub-unit known as the Max Team, from the anime The Brave Fighter Exkizer. His primary alternate form is that of a powerful drill tank, a mode that allows him to operate effectively both on the surface and underground. As a member of the Max Team, he has the ability to combine with his two teammates, Sky Max and Dash Max, to form the larger, more powerful robot known as God Max.

In terms of personality, Drill Max is characterized as the gentle and herculean member of his team. He possesses a strong sense of compassion and is known for his considerate and careful approach to situations, demonstrating a capacity to think of others before himself.

Regarding his background, he is from the home planet of the Space Police Kaisers, where he has a family waiting for him. It is mentioned that he has two younger brothers and one younger sister, and looking after them is described as something of a hobby for him. Drill Max is equipped with several notable abilities and weapons. His signature armaments include the Drill Cannon, a pair of beam cannons mounted on his back, and the Gatling Smasher, a pair of Gatling guns that flip out from his chestplate when he undergoes a powered-up transformation. Alongside Sky Max and Dash Max, the Max Team can also perform an energy attack called Max Fire, where they unleash a stream of energy from their hands.

Drill Max's role in the story begins when the Kaisers arrive on Earth to combat the evil Geisters. He makes his first appearance during the Geisters' third scheme on Earth, which involved an attempt to steal a nuclear reactor. He proves instrumental in the fight against these invaders, contributing to the destruction of enemy monsters, particularly after combining into God Max. Alongside the other Space Police Kaisers, he bases his operations on Earth for a significant period, bonding with the human protagonist Kouta and fighting to protect the planet. After the Geisters are ultimately captured, Drill Max and the rest of the Kaisers must depart from Earth to continue their space patrol duties, bidding a farewell to their human friends. A lesser-known detail from supplemental materials establishes that Drill Max is a respected figure, as he is identified as the hero that the similarly vehicle-based Drill Ranger from a later series greatly admires.
