Description
Dr. Hiroshi Amano is the elderly, eccentric patriarch of the Amano family and the director of the Amano Peace Science Laboratory. He is the grandfather of Kenta and Haruka Amano, with whom he lives, as their parents are working abroad. A scientist of considerable genius, one source describes his age as 65, which would make him a member of the generation born around 1945 within the series' futuristic 2010 setting.
In terms of personality, Dr. Amano is a quintessential absent-minded professor, often portrayed as a "mad scientist" in the most benevolent sense of the term.
