Description
Guard Star is a Brave robot from the television series The Brave Fighter of Sun Fighbird, where he serves as the leader of the Guard Team, a subsidiary group of the Space Police Force. His alternate form is a police car, specifically the vehicle belonging to a human detective named Satsuda. He joined the Space Police Force because his skills in shooting were highly regarded, making him one of the top marksmen in the organization.

In terms of personality, Guard Star is generally calm and level-headed, acting as a stabilizing presence for his team. He carries himself with the demeanor expected of a leader and often displays a dry wit or sarcastic sense of humor. Despite his usual composure, he has a well-hidden but fierce temper; when pushed to his limits, particularly by the bickering of his teammates Guard Fire and Guard Wing, he becomes genuinely frightening and does not hesitate to take decisive, forceful action to restore order. He takes his duties seriously and serves as a reasonable authority figure, but is also known to be a Deadpan Snarker.

Guard Star's primary motivation is the successful completion of his mission to protect Earth from the evil entity Draias. He is deeply committed to his role as a leader and to the well-being of his team, often enduring significant stress due to the clashing personalities of his fellow Guards. Beyond his duty, he developed a strong sense of partnership with Detective Satsuda, whose police car he possesses. It is revealed that he chose Satsuda's car specifically because he was moved by the detective's passion and dedication to his work. Following the defeat of Draias, Guard Star and the rest of the Space Police Force decided to live on Earth in their original, human-like bodies, where he took on the human name Sakuradamon Moroboshi.

In the story, Guard Star is the central figure of the Guard Team, which works alongside the main hero, Fighbird. The team pursues Draias to Earth, and Guard Star makes his debut by helping to fight Draias's henchmen. He is capable of combining with his teammates Guard Fire and Guard Rescue to form the larger robot Guardion, and later can also combine with the fourth member, Guard Wing, to form Super Guardion. His role often involves mediating conflicts, especially between the hot-headed Guard Fire and the arrogant Guard Wing, whom he frequently has to bring into line. He also shares a unique relationship with Detective Satsuda, who remains unaware that his car is actually a sentient robot throughout most of the series, often leading to the detective believing his vehicle has been stolen whenever Guard Star drives off to assist in a battle.

Guard Star develops primarily as a leader who must adapt to managing a team under increasingly stressful circumstances. His leadership is tested when Guard Wing arrives and disrupts the group's dynamic with his solo act attitude. In a notable episode, Guard Star is forced to physically shoot both Guard Fire and Guard Wing with his pistol to knock sense into them and end their destructive feud, demonstrating his willingness to take extreme measures for the sake of unity. He plays a significant role throughout the series, from his first appearance to the final battle, where he ultimately helps confront the primary antagonist.

Guard Star possesses several notable abilities and equipment. His primary weapon is the Star Blaster, a pistol that fires live rounds and is stored in his right calf, capable of both single-shot and automatic fire. He can equip a battle helmet by using the verbal command Met On, which significantly increases his shooting accuracy. Other equipment includes a grappling wire that can be deployed from his arm and a pair of back-mounted beam cannons. For mobility, he can deploy treads from his feet, allowing him to move at high speeds even in robot mode. As the core component of Guardion, he forms the chest of the combined robot, and in Super Guardion, he forms part of the upper body.
