Description
Hikaru Makiba is the daughter of Danbei Makiba, the owner of a ranch in the Japanese countryside where she was raised performing farm work and caring for animals. She is the older sister of Goro Makiba and is a friend of the series' protagonist, Duke Fleed, whom she originally knew under his Earth identity of Daisuke Umon. Her life changes significantly upon discovering Duke's true nature as an alien prince from the destroyed planet Fleed who is defending Earth from the Vegan Empire, a discovery that leads her to join the fight by piloting the Marine Spazer support vehicle.
In terms of personality, Hikaru is generally friendly and mild-mannered but also possesses a notably bossy streak, often taking charge to ensure work gets done on her family's ranch, even being more assertive than her father in this regard. She is serious when the situation demands it, whether managing the ranch or engaging in battle.
