Description
Michiru Kiryu is a character from the anime series Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star. She is introduced as a former villain from the organization Dark Fall, created by the villain Akudaikan. Alongside her older sister Kaoru, Michiru is originally tasked with guarding the infiltrated Fountain of Sky. The Kiryu sisters are sent to the human world, known as the Land of Greenery, to gather information on the Precure warriors. They transfer to Yuunagi Middle School as students, where they initially act as spies.
At first, Michiru and her sister are unfamiliar with the world around them and appear confused about many aspects of everyday life in the Land of Greenery, but they quickly adapt and learn. Despite their villainous origins, Michiru gradually forms genuine bonds with the main protagonists, Saki Hyuuga and Mai Mishou. This growing friendship causes an internal conflict within her, as her loyalty to Dark Fall clashes with her developing care for her new friends.

Later, Michiru and Kaoru are revived and return to assist the Precure in the final battle against the main antagonist, Gohyaan. At this point, Michiru gains the ability to transform into Cure Bright, wielding the power of the moon. In this form, she fights alongside Saki, Mai, and her sister, contributing her strength to protect the world. Her transformation is facilitated by the spirits Moop and Foop, and she uses a Crystal Commune to transform with the phrase "Dual Spiritual Power." As Cure Bright, Michiru possesses enhanced combat abilities and can perform team attacks such as Twin Stream Splash and Spiral Heart Splash.
Michiru's key relationship is with her sister Kaoru, with whom she shares an inseparable bond. They are always together, and their actions are often synchronized.
