Maury is a minor character in the film Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai. He is a young male trainer with short brown hair and brown eyes, and his appearance is said to resemble that of his primary Pokémon, Torterra. He is one of three trainers in Alamos Town who challenge Ash, Dawn, and Brock to a battle shortly after the group arrives. Alongside his peers Allegra and Kai, each of whom uses a fully evolved Sinnoh starter, Maury faces off against Ash using his Torterra.
