TV-Series
Description
Bloody is a senior executive of the antagonist organization Nightmare, serving as a formidable enemy to the five Pretty Cures. His background is tied to the organization's long history, as he is depicted as one of its oldest and most experienced members. In his humanoid form, he appears as an elderly, dignified gentleman, often wearing a black silk hat, a matching suit, and a flowing cape, giving him the air of an aristocratic vampire. His motif is a bat, and he can transform into a monstrous, winged creature for battle, reflecting this inspiration. Before the events of the series, Bloody was personally responsible for the destruction of the Palmier Kingdom, the fairy-tale homeland of the mascot characters Coco and Nuts, a feat that demonstrates his immense power.

Bloody has a very reserved and stoic personality. He rarely speaks and shows little emotion, preferring to observe and act with a calm, imposing dignity. Unlike some of his more flamboyant colleagues, he is reticent and speaks only when necessary, yet he exudes an intimidating presence. His motivations are rooted in loyalty to the organization of Nightmare and its leader, Desparaia, who he serves with great respect. He values solidarity and the proper functioning of the group, believing that duty and results are what matter most. This sets him apart from his former subordinate, Kawarino, whom Bloody sees as having ruined Nightmare's sense of unity with reckless and self-serving methods. Despite his evil nature, he is not without a code; he acknowledges the strength and skills of the Pretty Cures on several occasions and refuses to use underhanded tactics he considers dishonorable.

In the story, Bloody is introduced as a major threat who confronts the Pretty Cure team directly. His role in Nightmare is that of a powerful enforcer and a former superior to Kawarino. He engages in psychological warfare, using his abilities to isolate the Cures and sow doubt and distrust among them, aiming to break their unity. His key relationships are primarily with his Nightmare comrades. He shares a professional, if distant, rapport with the executive Bunbee. However, his most significant relationship is the tense and antagonistic one with Kawarino. Bloody distrusts Kawarino's leadership and condemns his use of the black Kowaina masks, which forcibly power up individuals at the cost of their minds. This conflict culminates in Kawarino betraying Bloody, deeming him no longer useful and forcibly placing a black mask on him, casting him into a pit of despair.

Bloody undergoes a notable development in his final appearance. Despite being betrayed and seemingly defeated, his immense willpower allows him to resist the mask's complete control. He re-emerges in the finale to exact a final act of vengeance on Kawarino, dragging his treacherous former subordinate into the depths of despair with him, resulting in both of them disappearing. This act demonstrates his deep-seated sense of betrayal and his adherence to his own principles of solidarity, even in ruin.

Bloody possesses several notable abilities. In his human form, he can easily evade the attacks of the Pretty Cures and create barriers to separate them. His primary method of attack involves summoning special Kowaina monsters that manifest as countless giant hands emerging from a barrier that covers an entire area, rather than attaching to a single object. In his true bat-like battle form, his speed and destructive power increase dramatically, allowing him to overwhelm his enemies with shockwaves and rapid flight. His raw power is such that he was able to annihilate the entire Palmier Kingdom in an instant, cementing his status as one of the most dangerous members of Nightmare.
