Description
Yui Nagomi is a spirited second-year middle school student who lives above her family's eatery, the Nagomi Diner. She is the protagonist who transforms into the pink-colored Cure Precious, and her character is deeply rooted in a love for food, particularly rice and fresh vegetables. She is not an only child but lives with her mother while her father works as a fisherman far from home. From her late grandmother, Yone, she inherited the core belief that "food is smiles," a philosophy that shapes her entire worldview and her approach to both life and conflict.

Yui’s personality is defined by her overwhelming energy, straightforwardness, and immense appetite; she becomes hungry very quickly and is known for her catchphrases expressing this. She possesses remarkable physical strength and athletic ability, but her enthusiasm often leads to a tendency for impulsive and reckless actions. While her academic performance is average, she demonstrates a sharp and specific observational skill, able to identify the origin of a dish just by looking at it. She has a habit of misquoting common sayings, though she never makes mistakes when the topic revolves around food.

In battle, Yui becomes Cure Precious, a warrior whose fighting style is a direct reflection of her personality. She transforms using the Heart Cure Watch alongside her fairy partner, Kome-Kome. Her transformation phrase is "Precure Delicious Standby! Party Go!". As Cure Precious, she is an all-out attacker who prefers close-quarters combat, often being the first to land a blow. Her signature ability is the "Kilocalorie Punch," a powerful punch whose strength increases with its caloric count, starting at 500 and later escalating to 2000 kilocalories. Her primary ranged and finishing move is the "Precious Triangle," a technique where she unleashes a triangular beam of energy to purify her enemies.

Her role in the story begins when she encounters Rosemary, a warrior from the Cooking Kingdom, and the fairy Kome-Kome. After witnessing the villainous Bundoru Gang steal a Recipepe, her fierce determination activates her powers for the first time, allowing her to fight alone against the enemy in the early episodes before recruiting her classmates Kokone Fuwa (Cure Spicy) and Ran Hanamichi (Cure Yum-Yum). Her relentless belief in the goodness of others is a key motivation, driving her to not only fight but also to redeem her enemies. She maintains faith in reforming the brainwashed Amane Kasai, who later becomes Cure Finale, and even the primary antagonist Godatz.

Key relationships heavily influence her journey. She has a childhood friend, Takumi Shinada, who secretly harbors feelings for her that she is oblivious to, and who later supports the team as the ally Black Pepper. Her fairy partner, Kome-Kome, whom she metaphorically refers to as her "child," is a constant companion. She shares a warm bond with her mother, Akiho, and looks up to Rosemary as a mentor figure, affectionately calling him "Mari-chan".

Throughout the series, Yui undergoes significant development. Initially characterized as an enthusiastic but impulsive hero, a major failure forces her to mature. Her insistence on redeeming Godatz without caution leads to Takumi being injured, Kome-Kome nearly dying from energy loss, and a global famine. This devastating consequence teaches her the weight of her convictions, instilling a deeper sense of responsibility and transforming her from a reckless fighter into a measured leader who learns to unite her allies for the final confrontation. Ultimately, she fulfills her grandmother's wish by using the power of a shared meal to reconcile with former enemies, including Godatz.
