Description
Izuna Ajijou works as an escort and waitress at the Youtoukorou, a bar in Shinjuku that also functions as a freelance agency. She is a woman with wavy, rust-colored hair that she typically wears in two tails. Her outward personality is carefree and relaxed, but as a bodyguard who wields a katana, she remains constantly vigilant.
In the past, Izuna became acquainted with Lisa Kuraki, who is also known as Clarissa, the mediator of Shinjuku. Together with her companion Koryūto Ichinose, Izuna became one of Clarissa's bodyguards and lovers, entering a polyamorous relationship within Clarissa's inner circle. This role ties her deeply to the operations of the bar and the underworld activities that run through it.
When a hit on Polka Shinoyama failed, resulting in the death of the young assassin Misaki Sakimiya, Izuna accompanied Clarissa and other members of the Youtoukorou to the Torture Building. Their goal was to claim Misaki's contract and avenge her death. Upon encountering the Corpse God, who had begun possessing Polka's body, Izuna maintained her aim on him during a tense standoff. After the Corpse God used his magic to revive Misaki as a zombie, Izuna and Koryūto playfully examined the young assassin, with Izuna dangling her by the legs while Koryūto poked her. Another part of her role in the bar's affairs was being present when Clarissa received a phone call from the client who had ordered the hit on Polka, listening as complications regarding Polka's unforeseen abilities were discussed.
During the Lemmings Incident, Izuna was working on the bar floor of Youtoukorou in her waitress uniform when the detective Tsubaki Iwanome arrived to investigate a recent fire and another incident. She privately expressed her concerns about his investigation to Koryūto, believing it would be problematic for Clarissa if he looked into them too deeply. When the Corpse God and Misaki unexpectedly entered the bar, Izuna reached for her katana, which was hidden behind the bar. However, before any action could be taken, the lights were cut by the mysterious figure Lemmings. She was dissuaded from grabbing her weapon by Clarissa due to the presence of police in the bar. After the resulting scuffle concluded, Izuna joined the rest of the staff in seeing the detective off, showing relief at his departure.
Izuna maintains close operational and personal relationships with Clarissa and Koryūto, regularly participating in combat situations as well as the daily life of the bar. Her actions are consistently aligned with protecting Clarissa's interests and the staff of the Youtoukorou.
