Liger Shishiō is a brilliant scientist and inventor associated with the Gutsy Geoid Guard and NASA. He is the older brother of Leo Shishiō and the uncle of Guy Shishiō, the primary pilot of GaoGaiGar. Liger Shishiō is recognized as one of the world’s top ten minds, a reputation earned through his many groundbreaking technological contributions. Among his notable inventions are the Dimension Pliers, the Solitary Wave Riser, and the Disc X, the last of which was inspired by his observation of the Betterman known as Lamia. His eccentric personality is marked by a cheerful, sometimes flamboyant demeanor; he frequently uses the first-person pronoun boku-chan, and he has a playful, flirtatious nature that is often remarked upon by those around him. Despite his lighthearted manner, he is deeply dedicated to supporting humanity’s defense against extraterrestrial threats. He serves as a key researcher for GGG, providing critical technical expertise and developing new weapons and systems. Liger Shishiō also makes use of personal equipment such as a jet board and a jet glove when the situation calls for direct action. His role in the story is that of a brilliant, behind-the-scenes problem solver who contributes to the team’s success through his inventions and scientific insight. He maintains close bonds with his brother Leo and his nephew Guy, and his involvement continues into the events of the OVA series The King of Braves GaoGaiGar FINAL, where he returns from a prior assignment at NASA to join GGG’s mission in the Trinary Solar System.
