Professor Kanabō, known in Japanese as Kanabō Hakase, is a supporting character in the anime Kenyū Densetsu Yaiba. He is a genius scientist and inventor who serves as the leading technical mind of the antagonist Onimaru Takeshi and his forces.
In terms of background, Professor Kanabō was living in Tsukuba when the demon warrior Kumo-Otoko approached him with a request to repair the Wind God Sword, the demonic blade used by Onimaru.
