Description
Police Diver is a Brave robot affiliated with the Divers unit of the Brave Express Team in the anime The Brave Express Might Gaine. He is a police-themed robot who transforms from a patrol car and is distinguished by his white and black color scheme. He was created as part of a rescue-oriented subgroup of the team, and unlike the main battle robots, he and his fellow Divers were built primarily for disaster response and civilian rescue rather than frontline combat.
In terms of personality, Police Diver is serious and earnest, with a strong sense of duty. He is one of the more diligent members of the Divers and takes his responsibility to protect lives very seriously. This is most clearly shown during a large fire when his teammate Drill Diver suggests breaking off their rescue efforts to go assist in repelling the enemy Hiryu. Police Diver refuses to leave, insisting that many people are still waiting to be saved and that the unit cannot abandon the site until everyone has been rescued. This moment highlights his principled nature and his belief that rescue work takes priority over battle.
His motivations are rooted in protecting civilians and ensuring public safety. While other units of the Brave Express Team focus on fighting villains, Police Diver devotes himself to guiding victims to safety, extinguishing fires using a large fire extinguisher, and generally supporting emergency operations. He works closely with the other Divers, particularly in coordination with Drill Diver, and shares a strong working relationship with his team leader Fire Diver. As a member of the Divers, he also combines with Fire Diver, Jet Diver, and Drill Diver to form the larger robot Guard Diver, in which he becomes the waist and thigh section, and the high-speed combined train form Rescue Express, in which he forms the upper section.
In terms of ability, Police Diver is the fastest and most agile of the Divers, using his acceleration and mobility to reach disaster sites quickly. His standard equipment includes the Police Magnum, a revolver-style firearm praised for its ease of handling, and a supply of police missiles. He is also credited with strong attack power and analytical ability. In his patrol car mode he is roughly four meters long, and his maximum speed is around 610 kilometers per hour. He cannot assume a train form on his own, but through combination he contributes to the team's larger rescue forms. Within the series he remains a dependable rescue specialist whose commitment to saving people defines his role in the team.
