Description
Chikara Jingūji is a central character from the anime Reideen the Brave, serving as the leader of the Goflanders, a combat team affiliated with the Future Engineering Research Institute. His name, Chikara, meaning physical strength, reflects his forceful and direct nature. Known by the nickname Mr., he is the pilot of the support mecha, Brueger, which operates alongside the main robot.

Chikara has a cold and nihilistic personality, with a rough and blunt manner of speaking. He is highly confident in his exceptional piloting skills and does not hesitate to express his opinions directly, which initially puts him at odds with the more reckless main protagonist, Akira Hibiki. Despite these early conflicts and his tendency to mock Akira, deep down Chikara accepts him, and the two eventually become good friends. His harsh exterior conceals a deep love for his family, a sensitivity born from a painful past having lost his brother in a car accident.

In the story, Chikara acts as a rival and key ally, leading the ground defense team and providing crucial support in battles against the Yoma Empire. His role is defined by his courage and his willingness to face overwhelming odds. In a climactic confrontation, right before the final showdown with the enemy, Chikara pilots his Brueger, loaded with Magnum missiles, directly into the mouth of a powerful sorcerer dragon named Baragon. This suicidal attack results in his fierce and heroic death, a moment marked by his famous final line declaring it to be the last fight of a man named Chikara Jingūji. His notable abilities include top-notch piloting skills, making him a formidable fighter, though his prowess is often tied to his specific mecha, the Brueger.
