Dankichi Nitobe, a renowned enka singer, arrives in Chichibu as the headline act for a tourism-boosting music festival. His grand entrance at the train station with his backup band unites the central characters, showcasing his flirtatious charisma during interactions with the welcoming committee. Guitarist Shinnosuke Kanamuro's presence within Dankichi's band proves pivotal to unfolding events.

A subplot emerges when Dankichi loses a cherished pendant gifted by fans. Akane Aioi's search for it near a temple traps her in a landslide during heavy rain, triggering a rescue that indirectly forces Shinnosuke to confront his past. Later, illness sidelines two band members, prompting Dankichi to recruit Aoi Aioi and Masamichi Nakamura as substitute musicians. This allows Aoi to demonstrate her bass skills during the festival's climactic performance.
