Description
Lulu is a minor character from the anime Coji-Coji, set in the whimsical land of Meruhen. She is an angel and the younger sister of another angel named Gisaku. In stark contrast to her brother, Lulu is depicted as a charming, bright, and cheerful girl with a lively and endearing personality. Her appearance is neat and feminine; like her brother, she does not wear any footwear, but she is always properly clothed. Lulu's primary motivation stems from a sudden and intense romantic infatuation. She falls in love at first sight upon seeing a photograph of God, though the figure in the photo is actually the son of a geta (wooden clog) shop owner from the Edokko country, who was given incorrect information by the Knowledgeable Grandpa. This mistaken identity becomes a source of both joy and worry for her, as she pines for the subject of the photograph and frequently frets over her feelings. Her role in the story is largely that of a supporting character whose romantic dilemma adds a layer of gentle humor and pathos to the series. She interacts with the main cast primarily through her brother Gisaku and the other inhabitants of Meruhen, though her direct involvement in the main plots is limited. Key relationships include her brother, with whom she shares a sibling bond, and the object of her affection, the misidentified God figure. She does not undergo significant development over the course of the series; her character remains defined by her crush and her generally sunny disposition. Lulu possesses no notable supernatural abilities beyond her nature as an angel, and she does not display any special powers in the story. Her charm lies in her innocence and the contrast between her earnest feelings and the absurd circumstances surrounding them.
