Description
Police Inspector Geta, whose full name is Hanao Geta, is a police inspector who appears in the anime Vampire. He is part of a recurring cast of characters created by Osamu Tezuka, and across his many appearances he is consistently assigned the role of a conscientious and reliable detective. His name is derived from the Japanese geta, a traditional wooden sandal with a cloth toe strap, and in older police slang the word geta carried a meaning similar to gumshoe, referring to a detective, which fits his professional identity.
