TV-Series
Description
Tōru Nayuki has cream-colored hair ending in soft curls and gentle yellow eyes that complement his kind expression. Standing 160cm tall, born January 23rd with blood type A, his younger sisters Yuki and Tsumugi provide him a calming herbal tea recipe to combat his extreme stage fright. This tea induces immediate drowsiness. While the sisters assist him during stressful moments, their energetic nature means he seeks their aid only as a last resort.
Initially in Ayanagi Academy's Vocal Department during middle school, Nayuki switched to the Musical Department as a high school candidate after encouragement from Yuta Hoshitani, whom he met at the entrance ceremony. Discovering they were roommates deepened their close friendship, with Nayuki becoming Hoshitani's main supporter. He often cooks for Hoshitani and adopts a maternal role, waking him and mediating Team Otori conflicts. Despite this supportive nature, Nayuki harbors deep insecurities about his abilities, apologizing to Hoshitani during the Ayanagi Festival for underestimating himself.
His personality blends timidity with strong loyalty. He helped Hoshitani find Kakeru Tengenji's missing cat, Tavian, leading to a misunderstanding where Nayuki mistakenly believed Tengenji was involved with a woman. Nayuki recognized his error but avoided further discussion. He maintains polite but distant relationships with former middle school classmates like Kaito Tsukigami (aware of his aversion to mentions of his older brother), Rui Tatsumi, and Eigo Sawatari. Izumi Toraishi of Team Hiragi frequently praises Nayuki's cooking, humorously calling him an ideal wife.
Nayuki gradually builds confidence through performances, with solo songs like "MY FRIEND ~僕でよければ~" and "Seishun COUNTDOWN" marking milestones in overcoming stage fright. Spin-offs and alternate scenarios depict him in diverse roles: a sous chef in the "AYANAGI April Fools Series," a host in the "AYANAGI IF Series," and a witch during a Halloween event. Additional details include his enjoyment of cooking, ownership of a blue stuffed dolphin, preference for snowy weather, and proficiency in home economics. His alcohol tolerance is notably low, causing unpredictable behavior when intoxicated. His academic report cards often include the advice to "be more positive."
