Description
Philippe San Simeone is a character in the science fiction production G-Saviour. He is an ex-CONSENT mobile suit pilot who was among the first to defect from the Congress of Settlement Nations and rebel against the military aggression of its armed forces, the Congressional Armed Forces. After leaving CONSENT, he founded and led the Illuminati, a private paramilitary organization created to oppose CONSENT and support those resisting its actions.

In terms of background, Philippe is a former pilot with direct experience of CONSENT's military operations, which gives him both the technical skill and the insider knowledge needed to fight against the organization. Under his leadership, the Illuminati established the Saviour team, a development unit responsible for producing advanced mobile suits, including the G-Saviour prototype and the I-SAVIOUR Illusion, a high-mobility limited production mobile suit that Philippe himself piloted.

Personality-wise, Philippe comes across as a seasoned and pragmatic resistance leader. He is willing to shelter fugitives, to commit his organization's resources to battles beyond his own settlement, and to place considerable trust in the people he recruits. His decision to hand the valuable G-Saviour prototype to Mark Curran shows that he recognizes capable pilots and is prepared to take risks for the sake of the cause.

His primary motivation is to combat CONSENT and support the fight against its military aggression. He aligns himself with the Settlement Freedom League and the resistance movement centered on the Side 8 settlement of Gaea, providing material and military support when it is needed most.

In the story, Philippe first appears at the Side 4 settlement of New Manhattan, where he meets the group of Gaean fugitives. He is an old acquaintance of Mark Curran, and it is Philippe who entrusts Mark with the G-Saviour prototype, wanting Mark to pilot it and fight for the cause, though Mark initially refuses. Later, when Gaea's defenses are nearly overwhelmed during the CONSENT attack, Philippe and the Illuminati's forces arrive and push back the attacking forces, playing a decisive role in the defense of the settlement.

His key relationships include his old acquaintance Mark Curran, whom he recruits as the G-Saviour pilot, and the Gaean resistance, whose struggle he supports through the Illuminati. As leader of the Illuminati, he also works closely with his organization's Saviour team in developing the mobile suits used in the fight against CONSENT.

In terms of development, Philippe moves from a background figure providing technology and sanctuary to an active military ally who commits his forces openly to the battle for Gaea. His notable abilities include his experience as a mobile suit pilot, demonstrated through his use of the I-SAVIOUR Illusion, and his capacity to build and lead a paramilitary organization with its own mobile suit forces and development program.
