Description
Xuanzang Sanzang, also known as Sanzang Fashi, was a 7th-century Tang Dynasty Buddhist priest who traversed the Silk Road to India. Her journey secured 657 Buddhist scriptures and established the Chinese Faxiang sect. In her past existence, she served as Jin Chanzi, a disciple of Shakyamuni Buddha in the heavens, before an unspecified incident led to her reincarnation into mortal form. This reincarnation rendered her flesh a coveted prize for demons, promising immense power and eternal youth upon consumption. She ultimately achieved enlightenment, ascending to become the Buddha of Sandalwood Merit—a status that ordinarily precludes her summoning as a Servant. Her manifestation within Chaldea during the Grand Orders occurs solely due to the exceptional crisis of the Incineration of the Human Order.

A central figure in the "Journey to the West," Xuanzang was commanded by Guanyin Bodhisattva to journey to Tianzhu. She undertook this pilgrimage accompanied by her three disciples—Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing—alongside the transformed dragon prince Yu-Long, who served as her white horse. Throughout the arduous trek, she faced persistent threats from demons coveting her flesh, persevering through unwavering faith. Within the Grand Orders, she plays a pivotal role in the "Sanzang of the Stars Goes to Tianzhu" Singularity. There, her memories are sealed, and she initially refuses Chaldea's summoning, believing she has transcended earthly desires. Buddha intervenes, dispatching her to relive her journey. She encounters Ritsuka Fujimaru, whom she accepts as a disciple, traveling westward with pseudo-versions of her original followers: David as Zhu Bajie, Li Shuwen as Sha Wujing, and Lu Bu as the White Dragon Horse. They confront obstacles like the Lotus Cave demons—Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa in disguised roles—and gather scattered scriptures.

In the Camelot Singularity, featured in the movie *Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot*, Xuanzang aids Bedivere and Chaldea against the Lion King. She employs her Noble Phantasm, "Five Elements Mountain: Shaka Nyorai Palm," to breach the gates of the Holy City, demonstrating her commitment to protecting humanity. Her capabilities include "Rapid Sutra Chanting," energizing her Noble Phantasm and amplifying its damage; "Captivating Rosy Cheeks," a taunt skill drawing enemy attacks while mitigating damage taken; and "Sanzang's Teaching," granting allies heightened NP generation, critical star generation, and debuff immunity. Her ultimate Noble Phantasm, "Prophecy of Future Enlightenment: Buddha of Sandalwood Merit," temporarily transforms her into a limited Buddha state, conferring high resilience, mental interference resistance, and continuous recovery. Activating this, however, destroys her Saint Graph, causing her subsequent disappearance.

Physically, Xuanzang manifests as a young woman with long brown hair, adorned with a blue frontlet and a distinctive broad-brimmed hat. She wears a white robe layered with a yellow cape-like garment; her attire features a partially revealed chest secured by a white undergarment. She carries a khakkhara staff, a traditional Buddhist implement. Her personality blends curiosity, confidence rooted in Buddhist faith, and a love for adventure. Though optimistic and often humorous, she exhibits humility, remaining unaware of her scholarly talents and prone to tears when lost or lonely. She regards her Master and allies as "disciples," offering strict yet compassionate guidance in Buddhist teachings and refusing to abandon those in need. She shares a close, reliant bond with Sun Wukong, frequently mentioning him and becoming flustered when their relationship is noted. Her only stated aversion is solitude, though she diverts conversations addressing this vulnerability.

Xuanzang possesses "Territory Creation A+," enabling swift establishment of potent bounded fields, and "Divinity D," reflecting her destined Buddhahood. Unconsciously, she channels the combat techniques and weapons of her disciples—Sun Wukong's Ruyi Jingu Bang, Zhu Bajie's rake, and Sha Wujing's spade—due to their lingering spiritual bonds within her Saint Graph. She harbors no wish for the Holy Grail, believing Buddhist disciples require no such desires.
